Job Summary

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTl) is committed to building the capability, confidence and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and provides opportunities to enable young men and women achieve their educational and employment goals.
As part of this commitment DPTl is seeking to employ enthusiastic and customer service focussed individuals to fill the roles of Trainee Administrative Officer which will be based in offices within DPTl across South Australian metropolitan and regional areas.
The roles are administrative in nature and include meeting and greeting members of the public, word processing, records management, arranging meetings, paying accounts, undertaking mail outs, filing, data entry, photocopying, answering the telephone and other general administrative duties. Trainees will be required to attend training and attain a competency to the level of Certificate 3 in Business.
Requirements

To apply for a traineeship role you need to be between the ages of 17-35 (inclusive) and you can only complete one State Government Traineeship.
These roles will be filled by Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people as an equal opportunity program, as per Section 65 of the Public Sector Act 2009.
As part of the selection process applicants will be required to attend an Information Session on Tuesday 10th December 2019 from 11am to 1pm at DPTI, 77 Grenfell Street, Adelaide.
Applicants will be invited to attend an interview on one of the following dates; Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th or Friday 13th December 2019.
