Who is this course for?

Students who are interested in learning about the role of individuals and communities in understanding and influencing local, national and global civic issues.

What will I learn?

Students learn about:

آ· The rights and responsibilities of citizens

آ· The role of communities in government

آ· The role of the law and the High Court in addressing civic issues

آ· The role of international law in addressing global issues

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be based on achievement standards and will consider:

• your skills of inquiry into complex social issues
• your communication skills
• your skills to reflect and evaluate
• your ability to analyse and problem solve
